This sends torque to all four wheels instead of just the two wheels. 

There’s also an Intelligent Control system that lessens system lagging that usually comes with standard AWD systems. Many standard AWD systems tend to lag when the rear wheels engage. The Intelligent Control system uses an electric motor to deliver power to the transmission compared to standard mechanical systems.
